DANNY GRAY
The presenter of Stop, Look & Listen (The Modernists Choice), Danny Gray was raised on the fumes of aircraft amid the gritty
suburban backdrop of Feltham in west London.
Growing up in the '70s and '80s has provided him with first-hand knowledge and a keen eye for street fashions and cultures.
Danny’s “If you don’t like it, don’t listen” attitude, has earned great respect from his peers and Stop, Look & Listen is his
raison d'être. Raised on rock 'n' roll and rhythm & blues and taught the value of a vinyl record collection at an early age, his
knowledge and interest in music, style and subculture and also a love of scooters has grown into more than just a passing interest.
After a brief career as a recording artist/producer in the 1990s and a number of regular 9 to 5 jobs, Danny created a podcast
with co-presenter and musician Jim Sole called Subculture UK which ended up on Mad Wasp Radio exploring the myriad of British
post war subcultures. On Jim’s departure due to recording commitments and the arrival of stand up comedian Randy Spaniel,
the show began to move away from its original theme and ended after 31 episodes.
Now you can hear Danny, on his Jack belting out his favourite tunes on Stop, Look & Listen and read his poetry published with
Beatnpress. Check out their website here certainly a man of many talents!
