SIMON MCKAY

At the age of 15, Simon published the Newcastle post-punk fanzine ‘Eccentric Sleeve Notes’ (1981 to 1984). Towards the end of that time he moved into club DJ work and formed the rather uncelebrated indie-acoustic pop band, Said Liquidator. In the last ten years Simon has revived his interest in post-punk by putting the archive of his fanzine online and adding some new interviews In tandem with this, he’s produced a number of Post Punk Britain radio shows now available through Mad Wasp Radio. At the age of 15, Simon published the Newcastle post-punk fanzine ‘Eccentric Sleeve Notes’ (1981 to 1984).
